John Gladstone is Softcat’s Sustainability Lead working across the organisations working with executive teams to set strategies, goals and commitments. John has a wide range of experience within the IT sustainability sector working across all types of technologies and services. Many years were spent delivering datacentre, logistics and circular economy services.

Since joining Softcat John’s concentration has been developing supply chain and circular economy services to support its customer base and is now dedicated to the reducing emissions across Softcat, its supply chain and developing and providing sustainable solutions and services for its customer base.

John is passionate and has a deep understanding around how to use technology to help organisations to reduce their emissions and recognise new opportunities as well as the governance around the journey to Net Zero.

Since John has been aligned to sustainability, Softcat has gone on to be recognised as one of the leading sustainable resellers in the industry winning multiple awards and being the first IT reseller globally to get their Science Based Targets approved. Working with Softcat John also gone on to develop the Enexo sustainability platform to help organisations measure, manage and minimise their own emissions
